I recently stumbled onto a golf hypnosis product that look fairly interesting. Being a golfer and all I started doing some research. The product is called Master Your Inner Golfer, and was authored by Hypnotist Kevin Reynolds.

So this product interested me for a few reasons. First of all when I was a teenager, a hypnotist came to our school. He gave a performance on stage which was really cool. I was called to the stage as a volunteer, and was hypnotized. When I went back to my seat, I remembering him say, “Ladies and Gentlemen, then at that moment I leaped off my chair and yelled ‘Happy New Year.’ When actually it was April. The whole audience started laughing. It really was an amazing moment. I guess the brain is very powerful and receptive to ideas when you allow it to.

So when your receptive to new ideas in golf, can that change your game too? I guess you’ll just have to find out.

Check my friend Kevin’s Master Your Inner Golfer and let me know.

Kind of reminds me of the Zen Golf thing too.

You see, I really love golf and to get my message out to the masses, I learned internet marketing. And this has been a real journey. So I decided to share what I learned on my website the Vagabond Marketer. Why such a name. Well I feel like a vagabond when it comes to Internet Marketing. With so much misinformation to filter through it’s really tough to get a handle on how to really market on the internet.

So I have learned alot over the last 5 years. I want to share this with you, because some is good some not so good, and will help you on your journey. Now sometimes I think I know a lot about this, and other times I feel like I know nothing. A very strange world indeed. You decide…(lot’s of info to digest all F.ree…)

In my first post “Hello World” I addressed this a little. At least the mindset you need in order to learn golf.

Here I will talk more about why golf has been such a daunting task to learn, at least compared to other sports.

I don’t think many people will argue that golf is the “Hardest Sport To Learn And Master”, especially people who golf.

You can walk by any playground in America, and see incredible athletes playing basketball. Like the playgrounds in NY.

Now all of these guys look real good, in elementary school, HS, and College you will find the same thing. At the intramural as well as the team level. Darn good basketball players. To the novice these athletes would look similar in skill set. Really good athletes and really decent basketball players.

Think about the number of colleges with basketball teams and multiply x 15 players per team, not counting the JV squad or freshman teams and you can see theres lot’s of talented basketball players in the USA, let alone globally where there are 1000’s more really good ‘ballers.’

Add in the father son thing in the driveway, and you can see that basketball, while difficult to some, may not be as tough a sport to master as golf.

Conversely go by any golf course in the world, and you would see quite the opposite. Most golfers are hacks, or a derivative of a hack. Where some can make the occasional good swing enough to score 82 or so.

The average golfer globally shoots around 92, which is about 20 shots over par. More than bogey golf. Forget the score for a minute. Just look at the swings on the average golfer. Not too pretty to look at eh? Let’s face it the majority of the golf world are duffers.

Now the question, ‘Why the big disparity between these two sports, or golf compared to any sport for that matter?’

Simple: All sports react, golfers think. Why? Because not only are golfers taught to think, golf is the only sport where the ball is stationary, with no movement. Other sports you are automatically put in the reactionary part of the brain because you have to react to a ball coming at you, a body flying by you, or some type of movement. You react because there is no time to think.

Ever grab a falling cup before it hits the ground? Ah…..you just reacted. You had no time to think, and when you do think you watch helplessly as the cup hits the ground, right?

Golfers are thinking. So they are not reacting. Essentially the problem with golf is that you can’t think your way through an athletic move. And that’s exactly what golfers are trying to do.

There is a way to ‘react’ at the ball, and play golf from the reactionary part of the brain ‘without ever thinking’ and that’s what I teach. Reactionary Golf.

Check it out with my 52 weekly lessons at ‘kickstart golf’ and see how you can become a great player.

Watch for my next post on “How To Get Better In Golf.” Where I address alternative ‘unconventional methods’ you can use get better in golf right from the start. Until then have a great day, and hit them good.

Tiger Wood’s first tournament as a PRO, I believe in Milwaukee or something like that, his first comments were “Hello World.” So what the heck, being a golf blog site and all I will also leave the first words on this website as “Hello World” also. Blogs start the first sample post (included) as “Hello World”, and thus I will leave it there.

When you’ve played golf for awhile the thought probably goes through your head sooner or later, “What are these guys doing on the Tour to play that good all the time? Are they on another planet or something? How can they be that good? (Right?)

Well they are good, however there must be some reason…because you want to be that good too (right?) You know darn well deep inside, even secretly, that when you love this game you would do practically anything to play like them (Right?) Especially being a great player, you can make all the endorsement money and have a fantasy charmed celebrity life. (right?) See, believe it or not, most people (golfers) wouldn’t admit this because they would be too embarrassed to say this or even think this. Because of their level of play. So even when they feel this way deep down inside, nobody admits to this.

The first thing you got to do to get better in golf is to admit this fact. Then the doors will open for you to get there. When you won’t even admit this to yourself, then how can anything good happen? Admit to yourself, get over it and get on a game plan to get better and achieve your real goals in golf. Then you will attract the right plan, and strategy to get to where you want to go. How can the doors be open to you when you don’t even give a ray of light to the world what you really want to do? Once you shine a little, the flood gates will open and you can move forward…

A secret little trick I do when I want something, or need to get rid of fear, (fear will be another post for sure) I will say out loud once what it is that I want. Like in golf when I finally admitted to myself what I wanted. I said out loud “I am the worlds greatest golfer.” I call this seed planting. Your mind will follow whatever you tell it to do. So you are planting seeds that grow into flowers. Your mind says, “Well he said he’s the world’s greatest golfer, so I guess he is, and we better find a way to do this, and get started figuring this out” And you will. And you will find the steps to golf greatness, and you will be able to continue until fruition. Because this is something in your heart.

The same goes for fear. What ever you are fearing, say out loud 1 time the opposite. Like, “I am not afraid of the monster.” You’ve just planted the seed for your body to react to. You’ll realize one day, “Hey I am not afraid of the monster anymore.” The cool thing about this is you don’t even have to believe it’s true when you say this. It works automatically. And this works for any fear you want to get over. The minute you feel or create a fear you can dispel it by doing this. A real cool way to get on with your life and enjoy things a little.

This will help you on your way to better golf. This is how I got started on my way and I will give you all the details on another post. In the meantime check out my kickstart golf system, where I give 52 weeks of kicka** lessons to get you well on your way to golf greatness. Until then, enjoy and hit them good.
